WHAT DO YOU CARE? THE VALUES OF
A DYING GENERATION
SERIES "The acquisition of treasures by a lying tongue
is a fleeting vapor, the pursuit of death."-Proverbs 21:6 Jackie's in her 80's. Typical of her generation, she believes in right and wrong and always telling the truth. So when the grocery clerk undercharged her for a case of soda it was completely natural for Jackie to alert her to the mistake. "What do you care?" replied the clerk, "The mistake is in your favor!" Sadly, this response is typical of my generation as well. The following is just a snipet of Jackie's answer: #1. Honesty is ALWAYS the best policy (see aboveverse). #2. You ALWAYS reap what you sow. ALWAYS! "Do not be deceived, God is not mocked. For whatever a man sows, this he will also reap"(Galatians 6:7). "Because the sentence against
an evil deed is not executed quickly,
therefore the hearts of the sons of men
among them are given fully to do evil."-Ecclesiastes 8:11 And much like gravity, these principles apply to me and you... whether we believe in them or not!*
*I believe it would do all of us well for the people of the United States of America to consider such things.
