An Inspiration for Today...A Resource for a Lifetime! |
god's plans are my goals!

So, what's your strategy for fulfilling God's plan for your life in 2012? Do you have one? I'm a firm believer in the old adage, "Failing to plan is planning to fail."
Here's my 4-Step plan for "walking in the good works that God has prepared for me" (see Ephesians 2:10) in 2012:
Step #1. Identify. The first step in living out the plans and purposes of God is to identify what they are. To be like Jesus is to prioritize your relationship with God. The only way to understand what God wants to do in your life is to spend time with the Author of those plans.
"After He had sent the crowds away,
He went up on the mountain by Himself
to pray; and when it was evening,
He was there alone...In the early morning,
while it was still dark, Jesus got up,
left the house, and went away to
a secluded place, and was praying there...But Jesus Himself would often slip away
to the wilderness and pray.
-Matthew 14:23; Mark 1:35; Luke 5:16

Jesus maintained that success in this life equates to "accomplishing the work" (see John 17:4) that God gives us to do. Before we can walk in the plans that God has for us...we need to know what those plans are!

my voice; in the morning I will order
my prayer to You and eagerly watch."-Psalm 5:3
