An Inspiration for Today...A Resource for a Lifetime! |
the ultimate lifestyle!
THE EZRA PRINCIPLE
"For Ezra had set his heart to study
the law of the Lord and to practice it,
and to teach His statutes and ordinances in Israel."
Ezra 7:10, bold mine
It's not enough to study. I would suggest that there are no "professional students" in the Kingdom of God. No, the purpose of study is to become a skilled practitioner. The Bible tells us that Ezra was "skilled in the law of Moses." He was a living example of Proverbs 22:29,
"Do you see a man skilled in his work?
He will stand before kings;
he will not stand before obscure men."
Indeed, the Bible says,
"Prove yourselves doers of the word,
and not merely hearers who delude themselves."
-James 1:22
However, there is an additional step, perhaps the greatest step. And that is to...TEACH. God blesses us in order that we might become a blessing to others.
STUDY...PRACTICE...TEACH.
In my opinion, it's the "Ultimate Lifestyle!"
