Evangelizing the Church in the Age of Delusion |
one nation, under...judgement!

"Apart from returning to the God
of their forefathers their would
be no safety, but they wouldn't
realize it...until it was too late."

be no safety, but they wouldn't
realize it...until it was too late."
It
had surely been SHOCKING!, that first attack. The entire country had
been "numbed," at least for a time afterwards. It was the first time in
their glorious history that the supernatural hedge of protection had been temporarily removed.
God was attempting to get their attention. He was beckoning them to return to Him and at first, it appeared that the sleeping nation had been awakened - but alas, within weeks the status quo had returned. Status quo?
Well, it didn't happen all at once. It took time for their "spiritual amnesia" to take full effect. At first it was subtle, then outright, ultimately...brazen! They had forgotten the God upon whom their grand heritage had been built. Their cornersone was in the process of becoming a tombstone. The God they had once revered was now being rejected.
They drove Him out of national life and replaced Him with other "gods." They erased their standards of morality and ethics, and the values upon which the country had been built were relegated to the garbage heap of a past generaltion who was now wrinkled and always "unenlightened."
Of course, I'm recounting the history of ancient Israel.
