HEY EVERYBODY...I FOUND A GREAT CHURCH!

GodThoughtsWired!        FRIDAY, March 23, 2012+
Evangelizing the Church in the Age of Delusion

HEY EVERYBODY...
I FOUND A GREAT CHURCH!

They meet on Sunday mornings and what's cool about it is that the meeting is only thirty minutes long (they have 24 different services that meet every half hour from 6am - 6pm, cool huh?), so it doesn't get in the way of the rest of your day!

The meeting itself is divided up as follows:  25 minutes of the best Rock'n'roll music you'd ever wanna hear (ear plugs are handed out at the front door, along with the StarBucks and McDonald's Happy Meals for the kids-the kids can have StarBucks too, if they want...IT'S CRAZY!).

After the music, the Senior Pastor sets his electric guitar down (he's in the band, of course), and gives a 5 minute devotional that he calls, The Thought of the Day.*

What's so cool about this "Thought of the Day," is that the pastor can really relate, you know what I mean?  He's been married three times (although he is transgender, he's only been married to women, thus far), has been in prison twice, and swears like a drunken sailor!

In fact, he used to be a drunken sailor, literally!  He was in the Navy for ten months until being dishorably discharged for "disrespecting" an officer. Although he doesn't condone texting while drinking and driving, MY TEEN-AGERS LOVE HIM, especially all of his cool tatoos!  He never talks about money, sin, or anything that might be construed as negative.

Anyway, I can't make it this Sunday, or next, but I'm definitely going back as soon as I can find the time.  Actually, it's not so much for me, but for my kids.  I only get 'em on weekends once a month, so I definitely want them to be grounded spiritually.

*Last Sunday's "Thought of the Day" was AWESOME!  The pastor gave us an introduction to his new book entitled,
"The Politically Correct Guide to Tolerance."

"Impeccable!"

GodThoughtsWired!                     Friday, March 16, 2012
An Inspiration for Today...A Resource for a Lifetime!

"impeccable!"

A wise man will hear and increase in learning."
-Proverbs 1:5
I'm so excited I can barely write!!!
Doing wisdom is like sport.
-pastor Brad paraphrase, Proverbs 10:23
The Bible tells us that words are extremely powerful.  They carry with them the literal ability to bless, or curse (see James 3:1-10).  The bible further admonishes us to use them only to bless.  "Let no unwholesome word proceed from your mouth, but only such a word as is good for edification" (Ephesians 4:29).

Clearly, this verse, along with many others, indicate that we are to use the EXTREME POWER of words to "build" one another (edification literally means, "build up").

Anyway, I was doing a little, "increasing in learning" recently and I came across the Latin word, "pecatus," which means, "sin."  Further study taught me that the Latin prefix "im" in the term, "impeccable" means, "without."  So, our English word, "impeccable" literally means, "without sin."  Isn't that neat?!

So, my blessing and challenge for today is as follows:

May your words ever-increasingly be...

IMPECCABLE!

Are There REWARDS in Heaven? YES!!!

GodThoughtsWired!                  Thursday, March 15, 2012
An Inspiration for Today...A Resource for a Lifetime!

FREE BOOK OFFER!  In the video:  REWARDS,
pastor Brad reveals that "there are
only two things that are eternal
in this life."
The question is, "WHAT ARE THEY?"  We will send a FREE COPY of the book, GodThoughts, Volume 1, to the first 10 people who email us the correct answer!

are there rewards in heaven?

yes!!!
Did you know that there are TWO JUDGEMENT DAYS?  It's true!  The first is called the Great White Throne Judgment.  You can read about it in Revelation 20:11-14.  Indeed, this is the world reknowned "Judgment Day" that will determine the eternal destiny of every human being, Heaven...or Hell (see also Matthew 25:41-46).
There is also a lesser known, "second judgment day" for Christians.  It is the judgment of their works.  Are you aware of it?  The Bible is crystal clear!  You can read all about it in 1 Corinthians 3:11-15.
So, while it's true that salvation is not attained through works (see Ephesians 2:8-9), works are nevertheless, extremely important for the Christian (see Ephesians 2:10).

LAWLESSNESS: The Common Denominator...in Hell! 3

GodThoughtsWired!            Wednesday, March 14, 2012
Evangelizing the Church in the Age of Delusion

lawlessness:
The common denominator...
in hell!

PART 3
"And many false prophets will arise,
and will mislead many. And because
lawlessness is increased, most people's

love will grow cold.."

-Matthew 24:11-12

anomia: "lawlessness., sin, without the law."
Welcome to 21st century "Christianity" and today's "visible" church. Much of today's visible church might very well be described as, "Lawlessness is increased!" (emphasis mine).
"An apalling and horrible thing
has happened in the land: The
prophets prophesy falsely, and the

priests rule on their own authority;

And My people love it so!

But what will they do at the end of it?"

Jeremiah 5:30-31

Today's visible church IS FILLED! with pastors and preachers who tell their constituents not to worry about their known, willful, rebellion. Drunk with wine on Saturday night, drunk in the Spirit on Sunday morning. Grace is the magic salve that makes everything ok...
but it's not ok (see Jeremiah 6:14; 8:11; 14:13; 23:17; Lamentations 2;14; Micah 2:11; 3:5; 1 Thessalonians 5:3).
And the "seeker-sensitive" preacher says, "Don't worry about it...we're not under law, we're under grace."
But Jesus says, "Depart from Me, you who practice lawlessness" (see Matthew 7:21-23).
So who you gonna' believe?

The Common Denominator...in Hell! 2

GodThoughtsWired!                Friday, March 9, 2012
Evangelizing the Church in the Age of Delusion

LAWLESSNESS:
THE COMMON DENOMINATOR...
IN HELL!

PART 2
"Depart from Me (Jesus),
you who practice lawlessness."

-Matthew 7:23
anomia: "lawlessness., sin, without the law."
INCREDIBLY! The individuals to whom Jesus is referring to here (Matthew 7:23), are church-going, Jesus-confessing, ministry-participating people who believe with all their hearts that they are Christians! The context of the lesson that Jesus gives us here is PROFOUND! Let's take a look:
"Not everyone who says to Me, 'Lord, Lord,'
will enter the kingdom of Heaven; but he who
does the will of My Father who is in Heaven.
Many will say to me on that day, 'Lord, Lord,
did we not prophecy in Your name, and in Your
name cast out demons, and in Your name perform
many miracles?' And then I will declare to them,
Depart from Me (Jesus), you who practice lawlessness."
-Matthew 7:21-23
Note 1"Not everyone who says to Me, 'Lord, Lord,' will enter the kingdom of Heaven..."(v. 21). Just because someone verbally acknoledges that Jesus is Lord DOES NOT NECESSARILY mean they are saved! Remember the warning of James,
"You believe that God is one. You do well;
the demons also believe, and shudder."
-James 2:19
Demons know who Jesus is. They are aware, and they acknowledge that Jesus is God. However, demons are not saved because they do not put their trust in Jesus, nor do they submit to Him as Lord and SaviorThose who have a "demon-like" belief in Jesus will wind up in hell!*
Note 2"Many will say to Me on that day, 'Lord, Lord, did we not prophecy in Your name, and in Your name cast out demons, and in Your name perform many miracles?'"(v. 22).
Just because someone is involved in ministry DOES NOT NECESSARILY mean they know Jesus! "To obey is better than sacrifice" (1 Samuel 15:22). "I delight in loyalty rather than sacrifice"(Hosea 6:6).
Remember, Jesus is ALWAYS looking at the heart(See 1 Samuel 16:7). He can ALWAYS see through the facade of empty ritual and identify the true condition of the soul.
Those who "practice lawlessness," known, willful rebellion over time, are in great danger of being eternally separated from God on the day of judgment (see Matthew 25:41, 46), no matter what position they may have held in the church.

LAWLESSNESS: The Common Denominator...in Hell! 1

GodThoughtsWired!                Tuesday, March 6, 2012
Evangelizing the Church in the Age of Delusion

lawlessness:
the common denominator...
in hell!

PART 1
"Everyone who practices sin practices
lawlessness; and sin is lawlessness."

1 John 3:4, bold mine
anomia: "lawlessness., sin, without the law."
Sometimes we can't FULLY understand the meaning of a biblical word or phrase until we have access to the original language. For example, there are several Greek words that the English Bible translates as "love." In each case the translation is technically correct, however, until you know the actual Greek word, you don't know for sure the kind of "love" that the scripture is talking about (i.e. "agape" means "unconditional love," whereas "phileo" refers to the "friendship kind of love" that exists among close friends. Both "agape" and "phileo" are simply translated, "love" in the English Bible).
Such is the case with the term that we commonly translated "sin." There are four primary Greek words*, all of which we translate as "sin." They are:
hamartia: this is the most common word that we translate as "sin." Semantically, this word has the meaning, "to do amiss, to lose the goal, to miss the mark." It is an ancient military term. When the archer misses the bulls-eye of his target, the distance between the bulls-eye and where his shot hit was described as hamartia.
agnoema: literally means "mistake." Characteristic is the element of ignorance. Those guilty of agnoema are not fully aware of their "mistake."
parabasis: this is a significantly stronger term than the previous two. Literally, "transgression." Infers disregard for a known law.
anomia: "lawlessness., sin, without the law." By far, the most EXTEME form of "sin."
Whereas hamartia and agnoema can contain an element of "ignorance," the opposite is true of parabasis and anomia. These latter terms are "known and willful." Whereas, parabasis is a "violation of the law," anomia is not only "violation of the law," it is "lawlessness." Violation means to break the law, but "lawlessness" means to "abolish the law," to act as if the law didn't exist.
As we shall see, anomia or "lawlessness"...
is the common denominator in Hell.

*Please note the word, "primary." Other terms regarding sin can include: adikos, meaning "dishonesty or injustice" (see 1 John 1:9), paraptoma, meaning "trespass, to fall when one should have resisted" (see James 5:16), and parakoe, meaning "disobedience" (see Romans 5:19).

Will You Join Us?

GodThoughtsWired!                Thursday, March 1, 2012
An Inspiration for Today...A Resource for a Lifetime!

will you join us?
"Ask of Me and I will surely
give you the nations..."

Psalm 2:8a
When God called Jeremiah to his ministry, the Lord re-assured him by saying, "I am watching over My word to perform it" (Jeremiah 1:12). Curiously, several years ago, I felt prompted to pray Psalm 2:8 (see above).
At the time I had no vision...just a mild sense of God's leading. In January of 2001, God gave me the idea for GodThoughts. At the time it was solely an act of obedience, with an initial mailing list of nine family members and friends.
"But God has chosen the foolish things
of the world to shame the wise."
-1 Corinthians 1:27
In the first eighteen days of existence GodThoughtsWired! became an international ministry and now, eleven years later, currently goes to more than 380,000 subscribers in over 200 countries/provinces. It has become a "wave" that God has called me to "ride with all my might" (see John 5:19).
In addition, the video version of GodThoughts, GodThoughtsLive!, reaches thousands more world-wide and, according to "youtube analytics," has become a daily, discipleship tool in 102 countries around the world.
Indeed, the GodThoughts ministry  is the answer to the prayer that God prompted me to lift up to Him those many years ago,
"Ask of Me and I will
surely give you the nations..."
I am now joining with God in asking Him to "Watch over this word to perform it," and today I'm asking you to join me in my prayer.  Seriously, would you please take one moment to sincerely pray the following:
Father,
With tremendous gratitude, we ask You to continue to make the GodThoughts Ministry everything you originally intended for it to be. We are asking You Lord to continue to...give us the nations.
In Jesus name,
Amen.
Thank you!
