" Satan is a Christian!"

GodThoughtsWired!               Thursday, April 26, 2012
Evangelizing the Church in the Age of Delusion

"SATAN IS A CHRISTIAN!"

"For the time will come when they
will not endure sound doctrine;
but wanting to have their ears tickled,
they will accumulate for themselves
teachers in accordance to their
own desires, and will turn away
their ears from the truth and
will turn aside to myths.
"

According to Joel Osteen's definition of Christianity, Satan is a Christian! (click here to watch video).  Brothers and sisters, this "age of delusion"in which we live is truly remarkable!

According to Joel Osteen,* the CEOerrrr pastor of the United State's largest companerrrr "church", Mitt Romney and Barack Obama are Christians.  Why?  Because they say they are!

By this definition of Christianity, both Satan and all of his demons are Christians!
"For such men are false apostles,
deceitful workers, disguising themselves
as apostles of Christ. No wonder,
for even Satan disguises himself
as an angel of light...
the demons also believe
..."
-2 Corinthians 11:13-14James 2:19, bold mine

For God's sake man...read your Bible!

There's Jus Something About that Name 2

GodThoughtsWired!            Wednesday, April 25, 2012
Evangelizing the Church in the Age of Delusion

THERE'S JUST SOMETHING

ABOUT THAT NAME!
PART 2
Jesus will say about you
on Judgement Day...what you
are saying about Him right now.
-see Matthew 10:32-33
Are you proud of Jesus?  Are you proud of the cross? (see Galatians 6:14).  If so, I rejoice with you as a brother/sister in Christ.  If not, then you are an "enemy of the cross" (see Philippians 3:18), there is no middle ground (see Revelation 3:15-16).
Jesus said that you are either with Him or against Him (see Luke 11:23).  He said if you're ashamed of Him He's ashamed of you (see Matthew 10:32-33).
The "lukewarm Christianity" of modern culture is no Christianity at all.  It is the clever creation of the Devil (see 2 Corinthians 11:13-14).  It will not save you, nor will it be considered a valid excuse on Judgement Day (see Matthew 7:21-23).

There's Just Something About that Name 1

GodThoughtsWired!              Thursday, April 19, 2012
Evangelizing the Church in the Age of Delusion

THERE'S JUST SOMETHING

ABOUT THAT NAME!

PART 1

"They observed the confidence of
Peter and John and...began to recognize
them as having been with Jesus
."
-Acts 4:12-13, bold mine

That's my goal!  I want people in my family, the marketplace, on the street, and in the gym to recognize the fact that Jesus is with me.  About a year ago I changed the way I talk about God outside the church.  You know, it's fairly easy to use the word "God" without fear or consequence.  It's become such a generic term, "God," that it's generally accepted in our culture.

But awhile ago, I began to exchange the word "God," with...JESUS!  Oh my, what a difference!  Have you experienced it?  Truly, there's just something about that name.  I remember the very first time I referenced Jesus in the high school locker room...IMMEDIATE SPIRITUAL WARFARE!

So I've challenged everyone I know to do the same thing, specifically use the name of Jesus whenever they are referring to God.  What a dynamic difference!

Will you join us?  Do you have the courage?  Do you actually know Him?  Does He know you?  What will Jesus say about you on Judgement Day?  You say you're not sure - well, let me give you a hint:
Jesus will say about you
on Judgement Day...what you
are saying about Him right now.
-see Matthew 10:32-33

Pastor Brad BLASTED! for Sarcasm: Conclusion

GodThoughtsWired!                             Friday, April 13, 2012
Evangelizing the Church in the Age of Delusion

PASTOR BRAD

BLASTED!

FOR SARCASM:

CONCLUSION
Indeed, as Casey from Oklahoma rightly stated, sarcasm is a biblically legitimate form of communication when bringing reproof and correction to today's false gospels. Here is my favorite sarcastic statement from God Himself:
"Is there any God besides Me,
or is there any other Rock?
I know of none.’”"
-Isaiah 44:8
Oh, that's HILARIOUS! isn't it?  The omniscent, all-knowing God asking the rhetorical, ridiculously sarcastic question, "Is there any other God besides Me"...I'm not aware of any!  Oh, that just cracks me up!  I LOVE IT!!!
As for my favorite "sarcastic Bible character," I'm in agreement with Tim from Michigan:
"So Elijah said to the prophets of Baal,
'Choose one ox for yourselves and prepare
it first for you are many, and call on the name of your god...and they prepared it and called on the name of Baal from morning until noon saying,
“O Baal, answer us.' But there was no voice
and no one answered...It came about at noon,
that Elijah mocked them and said,
'Call out with a loud voice, for he is a god;
either he is occupied or gone aside, or is on a journey, or perhaps he is asleep and needs to be awakened.'
...but there was no voice, no one answered, and no one paid attention."
-1 Kings 18:25-29, bold mine
Yes, the great Elijah, one of the greatest men of God in all the Bible, Old and New, using sarcasm to MOCK! the false prophets and their false God.
Someone recently asked me, "Where did you get that 'sarcastic edge' of yours?"  And I said, "I think I got it from my Dad."
Sooooo, hold onto your hats, pastor Brad's latest,"sarcastic endeavor" is here!  Click here to watch,
And if you somehow missed the first one, click here to watch,

Pastor Brad BLASTED! for Sarcasm: His Response

GodThoughtsWired!              Tuesday, April 10, 2012
Evangelizing the Church in the Age of Delusion

PASTOR BRAD BLASTED!

FOR SARCASM:

YOUR RESPONSE
Here are some of your responses:
Sarcasm...oh please! Obviously the preacher
is not one who has read Matthew-Mark-Luke-John....
the gospels!!! Jesus is so LOADED down is sarcasm
to the Pharisees and Sadducees that it would have been considered RUDE!! No, you should not be unkind
and uncaring to NON-believers, Jesus always showed
the utmost kindness and respect to sinners and lawbreakers! Case in point is the woman at the well. But to us
"insiders" who should no better, Jesus can really
"let us have it!". So as long as you watch where and
who you direct it to, sarcasm is a genuine
method of teaching!
Read a parable if you doubt it!
-Casey, Tulsa, Oklahoma (bold mine)
I watched the video in question and I'm still laughing.
I wonder if your comments might have hit a little
too close to home for Pastor Dave. All I can say
is that the OT prophets, Jesus' teaching,
and Paul's letters all contain sarcasm.
All of these men used sarcasm to shock people
into taking a closer look at themselves.
Russ, Cincinnati, Ohio (bold mine)
I can really see why some would take offence to
this video especially the religious types that believe
more denomination than relationship with Jesus Christ.
You will never please everyone and so keep fighting
the fight and working out your own salvation
in fear in trembling before our Lord.
May the video cause many to wake up
and preach the Word which saves
rather than all the other gimics.
Mark, PE South Africa (bold mine)
Actually, in I Kings 18, when Elijah defeats
the prophets of baal, he is incredibly sarcastic
and actually trash talks the prophets

as he calls upon God. He asks them if
their god is sleeping, or maybe he's in the bathroom.
Sounds like biblical sarcasm to me!!!
Tim, Detroit, Michigan (bold mine)
By todays standards I am an old dude.
So therefore I am biased. I liked it.
I am a pastor and have also traveled extensively
for 54 years. I love all types of ministry.
My church is country as a turnip green.
My son attends a rock gospel church with his family.
They are much larger than us. The video took
a shot at a group that had taken shots at all of us
for years.
I play a banjo and have been made fun
of since I was small. Keep me on your email list.
Pastor Randy, Augusta, Georgia (bold mine)

Thanks so much for all who responded - I wish I could publish them all!  I DEEPLY! appreciate all of your great encouragement!

Tomorrow I'll give you my response, including my favorite "sarcastic quotes" from the bible.

Pastor Brad BLASTED! for Sarcasm

GodThoughtsWired!                   Tuesday, April 3, 2012
Evangelizing the Church in the Age of Delusion

pastor brad blasted!

for sarcasm
Yesterday I received the following "last words" from an obviously disgruntled "used-to-be GodThoughts subscriber:"
"This video is DISGRACEFUL!
It is mean and uncaring.
I see nowhere in the scriptures
where sarcasm is used as
a tool of evangelism.
Unsubscribe me at once!"*

-
Pastor Dave
(last name purposely withheld)
Well, I am sincerely saddened to lose a subscriber, especially a pastor, and I absolutely am going to respond.  However, before I do, I'm curious...what do you think?
I would sincerely love to hear from you.  Do you agree with pastor Dave?  Is this video "mean and uncaring?"  Is "sarcasm" ever "biblically appropriate?
What do ya' think?
