The United States of America
has become a
"post-Christian" society.*
-pastor Brad
The United States of America has a distinctly Christian heritage. It was built upon the foundation of Christianity with the Christian Bible as its primary source of guidance and direction.

As such, the USA became the richest, most powerful (most blessed) country in the entire world. Sadly, all of this is a part of a distant past. The United States of America has become a "post-Christian" society.
We have become morally bankrupt to an extent that has provoked resentment and outrage throughout much of the rest of the world. We have relegated absolute truth to the confines of the "unenlightened" days of our ancient ancestors. This new age of "enlightenment" has all but erased the concept of "sin" and as a result, the United States of America has entered the realm of what I will call:
THE AGE OF REAPING.

We have embraced "sin," under the guise of diversity, tolerance and moral relativism. As such, we have become ignorant. "My people are destroyed for lack of knowledge" (Hosea 4:6).

-Ignorant of the universal law of sowing and reaping.

-Ignorant of the supernatural consequences of sin and disobedience to God.

-Ignorant of what once made this country great.

-And ignorant of why this country has begun a process of self-destruction.
The Bible describes the process as follows:
1. Sin takes away understanding. "Harlotry, wine and new wine take away the understanding" (Hosea 4:11).
2. Continual rejection of truth (that stems from a lack of understanding) leads to delusion. "Because they did not receive the...truth...God will send upon them a deluding influence so that they will believe what is false" (2 Thessalonians 2:10-11).
3. This delusion ultimately results in destruction. "The people without understanding are ruined" (Hosea 4:14).
"For the day of the Lord draws near
on all the nations. As you have done,
it will be done to you. Your dealings
will return on your own head."
-Obadiah 15

*I don't imagine there are many who would publically agree with me here. The concept does not originate with me. Christian philosopher Francis Schaeffer, I believe, first coined the phrase "post-Christian." I certainly do not mean that the USA is void of Christianity entirely - there absolutely remains a magnificent remnant of biblical Christians in the country, including some marvelous churches, and some wonderful pastors and church leaders.

What I do mean by "post-Christian" however, is this:
1.   Generally, the biblical beliefs of our Founding Fathers have been widely and practically, if not universally rejected.
2. Generally, biblical Christianity has been, at best, badly compromised, and at worst, completely obliterated in the "American Church."
For further Study see Galatians 3:10; Jeremiah 17:5; Proverbs 14:34; 16:12; 20:28; 25:5.

Are You..."Evolving?"

GodThoughtsWired!              Wednesday, May 30, 2012
Evangelizing the Church in the Age of Delusion

Are You..."Evolving?"
Evolving:  The process of becoming.
Are you "evolving?"  Well, if you are a real Christian you sure are!
"For those whom He foreknew,
He also predestined to become
conformed to the image of His Son
,
so that He would be the firstborn
among many brethren;"
-Romans 8:29, bold mine
Praise God, all true Christians are in the process of becoming more and more like the biblical Christ.
Of course, the person who claims to be a "Christian" yet, is "evolving" in a direction away from Jesus and His biblical teaching...
is a liar.
"The one who says,
'I have come to know Him,'
and does not keep His commandments,
is a liar, and the truth is not in him."
-1 John 2:4
He who has an ear to hear...
Let him hear.

THE VIDEO!
Pastor Brad is at it again in this comedic slam of modern, unbiblical "Christianity" (click here to watch).
Based on the popular teaching of some of today's most popular "pastors," even Satan, the Devil himself is a "christian."  -see 2 Corinthians 11:13-14
Hope these videos don't describe what's going on at your "church!"

And pastor Brad's latest,
"They profess to know God,
but by their deeds they deny Him,
being detestable and disobedient
and worthless for any good deed."

Titus 1:16

The Eagle's Domain: A Parable

GodThoughtsWired!                      Friday, May 25, 2012
An Inspiration for Today...A Resource for a Lifetime!

The Eagle's Domain
A PARABLE

"Do not enter the path of the wicked
and do not proceed in the way of evil men.
avoid it, do not pass by it,
turn away from it and pass on."
-Proverbs 4:14-15
Taking his last few breaths, the once powerful and majestic eagle turned his eyes upward one last time.  Gazing high into the heavens with memories of unchallenged authority and racing the wind.
There he lay on the ground.  Foreign soil.  His final resting place.  For just the briefest moment he had, for whatever reason, flown too low.  Shot out of the sky for sport (see John 10:10a).
"Doing wickedness is like sport to a fool..."-Proverbs 10:23
The eagles domain is above the clouds.  He was created to soar, ruler of the sky.  Nevertheless, there he was, on the ground.  Dead.  Among the millions of other...
dead things.
"Put on the Lord Jesus Christ,
and make no provision for
the flesh in regard to its lusts."

-Romans 13:14
He who has ears to hear, let him hear.
And he who refuses...
Let him refuse.

Learning from the Legends: Job 2

GodThoughtsWired!                 Thursday, May 24, 2012
An Inspiration for Today...A Resource for a Lifetime!

LEARNING FROM THE LEGENDS:
JOB

2

"Have you considered My servant Job..."
-Job 1:82:3
Many have missed this critical theological fact:
GOD INITIATED SATAN'S
ATTACKS ON JOB!
Not once (Job 1:8), but twice (Job 2:3), God used the Devil to accomplish that which concerned Job:
"The Lord will accomplish
what concerns me."
-Psalm 138:8
Fairly mind boggling isn't it? Yet, consistent throughout all of scripture, "God tests the hearts of men"(Proverbs 17:3; see also Genesis 22:1).
"Beloved, do not be surprised at
the fiery ordeal among you,
which comes upon you for your
testing, as though some strange thing
was happening to you."
-1 Peter 4:12
One of the most astounding challenges in all of scripture, in my opinion, comes from Jesus' brother James:
"Consider it all joy, my brethren,
when you encounter various trials,
knowing that the testing of your faith
produces endurance.  And let endurance
have its perfect result, so that you may be
perfect and complete, lacking in nothing.
"

-James 1:2-4
Surely, the travails of Job are mankind's most radical example?

Learning from the Legends: Job 1

GodThoughtsWired!                Wednesday, May 23, 2012
An Inspiration for Today...A Resource for a Lifetime!

LEARNING FROM THE LEGENDS:

JOB

1

"There was a man in the land of Uz
whose name was Job; and that man
was blameless, upright, fearing God
and turning away from evil
.
"

-Job 1:1, bold mine
An impressive description of Job, don't you think?  What I find so significant here is that it seems clear that God wants us to know 1) How highly God esteems Job, and 2) The trials and suffering that Job went through were not the consequences of blatant sin.  In fact, the responses that Job models throughout his adversity reveal a man of deep conviction and spiritual maturity.

After all that Job went through in Job Chapter 1, it  was written of him,
"Through all this Job did not sin
nor did he blame God."
-Job 1:22

And in Chapter 2, after Job had been, "smitten with sore boils from the soles of his feet to the crown of his head," (v. 7), he responded,
"Shall we indeed accept good from God
and not accept adversity?”

-Job 2:10
And then Job's classic sumation of his ongoing tribulation,
"Though He slay me,
I will hope in Him."

-Job 13:15
Pretty impressive, don't you think?

THE PROGRAM!

GodThoughtsWired!                   Monday, May 21, 2012
An Inspiration for Today...A Resource for a Lifetime!

THE PROGRAM!
To successfully follow Jesus, there will be times whenyou must steadfastly refuse to rely on your own understanding (see Proverbs 3:5).  I'm talking about major decision-making here!
Indeed, there will be times that all logic and reason will say one thing...but God will ask you to do another.  Over a lifetime there will, without a doubt, be times when,
-God will ask you to wait longer than you think is necessary.  -see Isaiah 40:30-31
-God will ask you to trust Him more than you believe is possible.  see Proverbs 3:5-6
-Gos will require more faith from you than you think is reasonable.  -2 Corinthians 5:7
Take it from someone who has been tracking with the Lord for more than 45 years...
It's just part of the PROGRAM!

Calling All RETURNEES!

GodThoughtsWired!                       Friday, May 18, 2012
An Inspiration for Today...A Resource for a Lifetime!

Calling all returnees!

"Zion will be redeemed with justice,
and her repentant ones with righteousness."

-Isaiah 1:27, bold mine
Chapter 1 of Isaiah provides us with a classic example of two primary aspects of God's character;  justice and mercy.  God is just.  He will by no means leave the guilty unpunished (see Exodus 34:7; Nahum 1:3).  And God is merciful.  In fact, God wonderfully informs us that "mercy triumphs over judgement" (see James 5:13).
And then verse 27 (see above).  Really, a sumation of the entire Bible.  The message of God through the prophets in the Old Testament, and the clear thesis of the New Testament from Matthew 3:2 to Revelation 22:21
"How long will you hesitate between
two opinions...Choose ye this day...
But Daniel made up his mind...
The time is already past..."
-1 Kings 18:21; Joshua 24:15;
Daniel 1:8
; 1 Peter  4:3
The glorious truth of the Bible is that God is a Redeemer!  The sobering reality is that His redemption is available to everyone, but relatively few (see Matthew 7:13-14), are, and will be redeemed.
So who will be redeemed?  Isaiah 1:27(see above) calls them, "The repentant ones."  "Repentant ones" can accurately be translated, "Returnees."
So...Calling all RETURNEES!

HOW IT WORKS!

GodThoughtsWired!                 Thursday, May 17, 2012
Evangelizing the Church in the Age of Delusion

HOW IT WORKS!
Truth is the key to freedom.  Truth makes us FREE!
"You will know the truth,
and the truth will make you free."

-John 8:32
Truth teaches us how to live correctly.  It is the door thru which we enter into the adundant life (see John 10:10) of God's original intent (see Jeremiah 29:11Ephesians 2:10).

When we "blurr" the distinction between right and wrong, thus rejecting the key to our own freedom, we promote the breakdown of morality.

The fruit of the breakdown of morality is the consequences of  immorality:
"For he who does wrong will receive the consequences of the wrong which he has done, and that without partiality."
-Colossians 3:25*
The consequences of immorality are pain and suffering, sickness and death, bondage and great deception (to name just a few).

And the results of such consequences are ignorance, apathy, bitterness, hopelessness and; the ultimate victory of our enemy...

unbelief, darkness, widespread delusion, and ultimately...

JUDGEMENT (see 2 Thessalonians 10).

"Because they did not receive the love of the truth so as to be saved. For this reason
God will send upon them a deluding influence
so that they will believe what is false,
in order that they all may be judged
who did not believe the truth,
but took pleasure in wickedness."
-2 Thessalonians 2:10-12

He who has an ear to hear, let him hear.

*Those teachers who emphasize "grace" to the exclusion of this New Testament, New Covenant verse do the body of Christ a HUGE! disservice, leading countless thousands into delusion.

The Fear of the Lord is a...CHOICE!

GodThoughtsWired!                    Tuesday, May 15, 2012
An Inspiration for Today...A Resource for a Lifetime!

THE

"FEAR OF THE LORD"

IS A...CHOICE!
"Who is the man who fears the Lord?
He will instruct him in the
way he should choose."
-Psalm 25:12
Let me rephrase that.
THE CHOICETO LIVE YOUR LIFE
IN REVERENCE TO GOD
IS THE MOST IMPORTANT
DECISION YOU WILL EVER MAKE!
The Bible tells us that those who choose to do so will"abide in prosperity" (see verse 13).  God supernaturally directs the lives of those who "fear the Lord" and great blessing is upon his/her descendents (see verse 13 again).

Additionally, God uniquely reveals Himself to all who"fear the Lord" (see verse 14). On the other hand,

"They will call on me, but I will not answer;
They will seek me diligently but
they will not find me, Because
they hated knowledge And did not
choose the fear of the Lord."

-Proverbs 1:28-29, bold mine
A pretty important decision, I'd say.

Knowledge is NOT Power!

GodThoughtsWired!             Thursday, May 10, 2012
Evangelizing the Church in the Age of Delusion

knowledge is not power!
Remeber the old adage, "Knowledge is power?"  Well, it's not true!  And here's a good Bible verse that says as much:
"Like the legs which are useless to the lame,
so is a proverb in the mouth of fools."
-Proverbs 26:7
Indeed, knowledge that is not properly applied is no better than ignorance.  In fact...it's worse!
"Therefore, to one who knows the right
thing to do and does not do it,
to him it is sin."
-James 4:17
Again, knowledge is not power, knowledge is...knowledge.  Knowledge only becomes powerful when it is correctly applied.
