HOW TO BECOME AN EXPERT AT... DEFENDING THE FAITH! 3 "Always being ready to make a defense to everyone who asks you to give| an account for the hope that is in you..."-1 Peter 3:15 And finally, what about the statement, "Jesus is the way for me." Again, this is nonsensical.  Please listen carefully,  All truth, by definition is absolute, extremely narrow, and utterly exclusive! If something is true, then it is true for everybody, everywhere, all the time. For example, 2 + 2 = 4.  This is either true or false.  If it is true, which it is, then there is no other correct answer to 2 + 2 (2 + 2 cannot = 5, nor can 3 + 3 = 4).  And there has never been a person anywhere, at any time, to which this does not apply. Jesus said that He is the only way to salvation (see John 14:6).  Either He is, or He is not.  If He is not, then He is not the way of salvation for anybody.  However, if He is, then He is the only way of salvation for everone. "There is salvation in no one else, For no other name under Heaven has been given among men by which we must be saved." -Acts 4:12 The above "truth claim" is either true or false.  And like all truth, if it is true then it is true for everybody, everywhere, all the time.
