There is another name however, yet mentioned. And it is one with which the true disciple of Jesus must become intimately familiar, "Beloved, I urge you as aliens and strangers to abstain from fleshly lusts which wage war against the soul! -1 Peter 2:11, bold mine Yes, "alien."  Taken from the Greek word paroikos, "alien" can rightly be translated "non-citizen."  Indeed,the Bible tells us that the disciple's true citizenship is in Heaven (see Philippians 3:20).  While on earth the follower of Christ is likened to that of an alien.  A stranger.  A foreigner from another land.
