"The Best Person I've Ever Known"

"An excellent wife, who can find?
For her value is far above jewels..."
Proverbs 31:10

I think it starts with purity.  She's relatively "undefiled" by the world.  Always has been.  Pure motives.  Pure care.  Always looking out for others.  Always putting them first.  In fact, the one thing that has always frustrated me about her is that in this life whenever you allow yourself to be taken advantage of...you will.  And, yet, it has never detoured her.  She continues to give.  Family, friends, animals (if you are a pet - the greatest thing that could ever happen to you would be to come and live at our house), children, strangers, it doesn't matter.  She cares.  After God's mercy and grace, she is the single biggest reason that I am excelling in this life.

She always thinks the best of others.  Always.  To be honest, that's been another source of frustration for me also.  She always gives the benefit of the doubt.  Always.  She is a classic example of the leadership philosophy and sociologic reality, "We do not see the world as it is...we see the world as WE ARE."  She assumes your motives are pure, because hers are.  She assumes your being honest...because she is.

Riches mean nothing to her.  Well, actually, that's not quite true.  Additional money excites her to the degree that it provides a greater opportunity for her to give.  Naturally, Christmas is her favorite holiday...because she loves to give.  In her case the scripture is "wrong."  Acts 20:35 says, "It is better to give than to receive."  But not for this woman.  For her, it is WAY, WAY BETTER to give.  She finds amazing joy in giving to others.  All others.  Maybe that's why you rarely see her without a smile on her face.  Since we reap what we sow (see Galatians 6:7), it's only natural that she would be happy and fulfilled because the spiritual equity that she has accrued is ENORMOUS!  She'll be reaping long into eternity because as long as I've known her she's been giving.

Forgiveness, mercy, compassion, light-heartedness, joyful eyes and even her voice, are just a few of the qualities that make her the most attractive woman I have ever met.

She is the greatest gift the Lord has ever given me.

She's the best person I have ever known.
