IN THREE DAYS!, GodThoughtsWired! will be on sabbatical while I recover from back surgery.  Rather than provide pre-prepared entries, I am led to remain silent for those 2-3 weeks and ask you to join with me in radical, spiritual warefare prayers for the GodThoughts Ministry.  I am INCREDIBLY GRATEFUL that GodThoughtsWired! reaches thousands daily around the world and, yet, I am certain that God desires to multiply His voice and influence through GodThoughts FAR MORE SIGNIFICANTLY than He is doing now.  We need a larger team!  We need more prayer warriors!  We need more Partners!  We need more of you to ACTIVELY participate!  Please take the time of this sabbatical to prayerfully consider your active involvement in the GodThoughts Ministry.

Who among you would respond to the invitation of Jesus, "Freely you have received, freely give" (Matthew 10:8).  In this "Age of Apostasy," (see 2 Thess. 2:1-17),  GodThoughts exists to EVANGELIZE THE CHURCH!  -see Matthew 7:21-23; Revelation 3:20.   See you soon!

EVANGELIZING THE CHURCH:  PART 2

"Behold, I stand at the door and knock;
if anyone hears My voice and opens the door,
I will come in to him and will dine
with him, and he with Me."
Revelation 3:20

Most Christians, pastors and perishoners alike, rightly understand "The Great Commission" of the Church to "go therefore and make disciples of all the nations..." (see Matthew 28:19-20).  Most of us would further agree that we are called to evangelize the world both locally and globally.  "You shall be My witnesses both in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria, and even to the remotest part of the earth" (Acts 1:8).

My understanding of scripture is certainly no different.  Since I was in sixth-grade, literally, I have always maintained relationships with non-christians outside of the Church, for the exclusive purpose of leading them to the Lord, as it is to this day.  However, having affirmed that, let me attempt to explain my formal "calling" as a minister and servant of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, to "Evangelize the Church."

Let me begin by quoting from a spiritual mentor of mine, the deceased A.W. Tozer:

"The masses are always wrong.  In every generation
the number of the righteous is small.  Be sure you are among them."
"The Root of the Righteous," p. 9

I am using this simple quote as a starting point to remind us that, according to the Bible, it is only the "few" who are saved (see Matthew 7:13-20).  How few are the "few?"  Well, nobody knows for sure, we only know that the "few" are opposed to the "many."  "Many," are going to hell (see Matthew 7:21-23).  "Few" will make it to Heaven (see Matthew 7:13-14).

Continuing,

"In our eagerness to lead men to "accept Christ,"
we are often tempted to present for acceptance
a Christ who is little more than a caricature..."
"The Root of the Righteous," p. 23

A caricature of what?  A caricature of the biblical Christ.  A "false Christ."  A "Jesus" of man's creation, not God's.  A "Jesus" whose followers are headed straight to hell!  "For false Christs...will arise and show great signs and wonders, so as to mislead, if possible, even the elect" (Matthew 2424).
