"The Truth...about Grace"

Part 1

 "Grace and truth were realized through Jesus Christ."

John 1:17

Do you see that?  Grace AND truth were realized through Jesus.  NOT JUST GRACE...but grace AND TRUTH!  Here's an interesting fact.  The word, "grace," is mentioned 131 times in the Bible, yet "truth" is referred to 289 times.  That's more than TWO TIMES as often! 

Now I've seen tens of churches with the word "grace" in their name and I've heard hundreds of sermons about "grace," but I have yet to come across a church whose name includes "truth,"  and it is rare indeed to find a sermon title that includes the word..."truth."  What's up with that?  Jeremiah warned that teaching grace without truth angers God and leads his people astray (see Jeremiah 6:14; 8:11).

THE LOVE OF GOD IS UNCONDITIONAL...

THE GRACE OF GOD IS NOT.

 All over the world, thousands upon thousands are in search of freedom.  Freedom from bondage, freedom from financial pressure, freedom from fears of all kinds.  Many of these same people go to church in the hopes of finding freedom...and they're told only about grace.  Perhaps it makes them feel good...BUT IT DOESN'T MAKE THEM FREE!
