  "A Look at Psalm 37:3"

If all we had was Psalm 37:3, it would still give us a pretty good outline for life:

"Trust in the Lord and do good,
dwell in the land and cultivate faithfulness."

After years of study and meditation, the following is my own paraphrased version of this verse based on the original Hebrew language:

Be sure of the Lord and prosper.  Be confident.
Accomplish and advance good.  Be occupied with the best.
Permanently stay, lodge, abide, remain and rest in the land.
Tend the flock and set up the office of faith.

Scripture teaches me, and my life experience has shown me, that for the Christian,

EVERYTHING RISES AND FALLS
ACCORDING TO OUR INTIMACY WITH GOD.

"Unless the Lord builds the house, they labor in vain who build it...it is vain for you to rise up early, to retire late, to eat the bread of painful labors; For He gives to His beloved even in his sleep" (Psalm 127:1-2).
