"Was Noah God?  How 'bout Job?"
CONCLUSION

"Like the Holy One who called you,
be holy yourselves also in all your behavior;
because it is written, 'You shall be holy for I am holy."
1 Peter 1:15-16

The American Church of the Twenty-first century is generally impotent because the American Church of the Twenty-first century is generally unholy.  Why?  Because generally, the subject of "holiness" is no longer preached.  Why?  Because it's not a very good "church growth technique."  We've become so intoxicated by "grace" that we've forgotten about holiness.

Question:  "Were you aware that the following verse was in the Bible?"

"Pursue peace with all men,
and the sanctification
(holiness)
without which no one will see the Lord."
Hebrews 12:14
Tragically, we now have an entire generation* of preachers who no longer no the word of God well enough to preach the WHOLE gospel.  We have thousands of pastors now who actually believe in the "man-made," "custom theology" of "cheap grace" that echos throughout American pulpits every Sunday.  This is how it will happen that the prophetic words of Jesus in Matthew 7:21-23 will be realized.
Thousands upon thousands of church-goers who honestly think that they are going to heaven...and are not.

My prayer is that you will not be one of them!

BONUS!!!  Here's a friendly bonus question.  "Are we saved by faith alone?"
I'll discuss the Bible's answer to that question tommorrow.

*As in the days of Elijah, there remain some wonderful pastors and teachers and preachers in the Church today.  Unfortunately, you need to look hard to find them.  The average mega-church is filled with literal myriads of spectators who delight to have their "ears tickled" by leadership that is all too willing to accomodate.
