"Consider...The Baby Zebra"*

"Observe how the lilies of the field grow...

A completely blind zebra had the good fortune of wandering through the front door of a South African eye doctor who was able to identify the problem and restore the animal's sight.  Dr. Danie Louw of Nelspruit was at his home over the Christmas holidays when the baby zebra foal strayed from a surrounding nature reserve and literally stumbled into Dr. Louw's home.

The doctor quickly diagnosed  the zebra as suffering from severe cataracts in both eyes.  The zebra foal underwent two hours of surgery to correct the blindness and was released later that night.  Back into the wild the zebra went, seeing for the first time the world it had been born into just two months earlier.  The zebra was last seen nursing from its mother.
