"You hit a home-run today, pastor Brad."         -John Diestler, Lafayette, California
"That's it!  That's it!  Preach that message every Sunday and we'll have to get a bigger church!    -Bill Roth, Moraga, California
"Pastor Brad, I pray that the whole world will get hold of that message!"    -Patty Roth, Moraga, California
"You were on fire today, man."    -Kevin Ryan, San Ramon, California

"These were just a few of the comments that I received a few weeks ago after preaching the message entitled, GRACE & TRUTH.  It may have been the most annointed message I have ever had the privilege to give.  It literally felt at times like I was taking dictation from God."    Pastor Brad

Most preachers fall into one of two extreme categories.  They are either big on "truth" and often found to be "legalistic."  Or they are big on "grace" and leave out 90% of the whole gospel.  But the Bible says, "Grace AND truth were realized through Jesus Christ" (John 1:17, bold mine).

Please order your FREE copy of Grace & Truth (simply send me an e-mail with "Grace & Truth" in the subject box, along with your snail mail address).  All I ask is that after you listen to it, you are obedient to the Holy Spirit's leading in how He would use you to best to support this ministry.

"The Power of Encouragement"
PART 2

"Do not withhold good from those to whom it is due
when it is within your power to do it.  Do not say to
your neighbor, 'Go, and come back, and tomorrow
I will give it, when you have it with you."
Proverbs 3:27-28

Based upon the premise of the preceeding verses, a couple of weekends ago I hosted an annual snow retreat for our College & Career students in beautiful South Lake Tahoe, California/Nevada (the cabin is on the California side, but we skied on the Nevada side of Heavenly Valley).  The program was entitled, "The Supernatural Power of the Tongue" based on the verses in James 3:1-10 which tell us that words carry with them the supernatural power to either "bless" or "curse."

On the second night of the weekend we did what I call an "encouragement circle."  Each person in the group gets a chance to sit in the middle of the circle and, one by one we go around the circle with each one "downloading" all of the good that they have to say to the person in the middle.  Compliments, encouragements, passages of scripture that they feel the Lord is promting them to share, etc.  Anything and everything having to do with edification (see 1 Corinthians 14:26).

It was a meaningful and wonderful experience for every single participant however, for one individual...it changed her life!  In fact, this past Sunday she stood in front of the entire congregation and gave the testimony of her experience.  Oh, the power of caring words.

REMEMBER:  If you can speak you are one of the most powerful people in the world.
