"Pastor Brad, I pray that the whole world will get hold of that message!"    -Patty Roth, Moraga, California
"You were on fire today, man."    -Kevin Ryan, San Ramon, California

"These were just a few of the comments that I received a few weeks ago after preaching the message entitled, GRACE & TRUTH.  It may have been the most annointed message I have ever had the privilege to give.  It literally felt at times like I was taking dictation from God."    Pastor Brad

Most preachers fall into one of two extreme categories.  They are either big on "truth" and often found to be "legalistic."  Or they are big on "grace" and leave out 90% of the whole gospel.  But the Bible says, "Grace AND truth were realized through Jesus Christ" (John 1:17, bold mine).

Please order your FREE copy of Grace & Truth (simply send me an e-mail with "Grace & Truth" in the subject box, along with your snail mail address).  All I ask is that after you listen to it, you are obedient to the Holy Spirit's leading in how He would use you to best to support this ministry.

-Pastor Brad
*Offer ends Friday, February 23rd.

"The Power of Encouragement"
PART 3

"Do not be deceived, God is not mocked.
Whatever a man sows, this he also shall reap."
Galatians 6:7

I've heard it said that it literally takes eleven positives to overcome a negative.  That is to say that we need eleven "blessings" to combat a "curse" or, eleven compliments to reverse a "put down."  This being the case I would highly suggest we start a "savings account."  A savings account for blessings.  Indeed, if we are going to succeed in our Christian walk, much less thrive and overcome, we're gonna need alot of encouragement along the way.  And the best way I know to insure that you'll receive the edification your going to need...is to GIVE IT!

Since we reap what we sow, it appears that we need a "savings account" of at least eleven times the amount of negatives that come our way (If you're serving God you're gonna need even more to combat the "flaming missiles of the evil one).  SO START SOWING!  Make it a habit to "download" all the good you have for people EVERYDAY!  I joked from the pupit last Sunday as I introduced a gal who was coming up to share her testimony that, "I have nothing good to say to her."  And it was true!  Why?  Because I had already said to her every single word of encouragement that I had to say.

We have an enemy who is intent on stealing from us and destroying our lives.  Typically, he will try and do this by using the mean, unkind, and demoralizing words of other people.  Psych wards all over the United States are filled with depressed people who have gotten that way by the "curses" spoken by others.  We can assure ourselves of "reaping" the kind of encouragement and edification that we need by being a source of that very thing ourselves.  One of the most important lessons I've learned in all of life is:

We don't always reap when we sow,
and we don't always reap where we sow,
but we absolutely will always reap WHAT we sow.

The book of Job promises, "Sow the wind and reap the whirlwind."  My greatest desire for all of us is that we learn how to reap the "whirlwind" of edification and encouragement.  How is this possible?  By sowing such yourself, every single day, and NEVER withholding good...from anybody.  If you've got something good to say about somebody...SAY IT!

Make that call...NOW!  Write that note...NOW!  Send that e-mail...now!  Start your savings account...NOW!

"Do not withhold good..."
