A GodThoughts Classic!
"Because of The Contrast"

"A man can receive nothing unless it is given him from heaven."
John 3:27

I know of a man with an uncommon life experience.  He had lived with perfect vision.  He enjoyed all of the blessings that come with being able to see clearly and well.  Then, in his thirties...he went blind.  He says it was HORRIFYING!  All of the things that he had taken for granted for so long were now gone.  Only in his blindness did he come to understand and appreciate what a gift his sight had been.  According to him, the benefits were as "numerous as the stars."

Miraculously, after only three months, his sight returned.  In fact, the miracle was such that he now sees more clearly than he ever had before.  This experience changed his entire life.  Initially, he interpreted the blindness as a tragic curse.  Darkness.  Now, because of the contrast, he realizes that God allowed the blindness to help him understand and appreciate the light.  He's in his forties now.  I've never seen a man be so careful with his "eyes."

He who has an ear to hear...let him hear.
