Romans 11:29
God is the Master of mercy. "Mercy triumphs over judgement" (James 2:13). If you haven't given up on God, then God hasn't given up on you. His nature is to redeem, heal, deliver and restore.
His capacity to forgive goes FAR BEYOND our ability to comprehend. "For God so loved the world that He...forgave" (see John 3:16; 1:29).
"If we confess our sins, He is faithful and righteous to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness" (1 John 1:9).
All of us are sinners and fall far short of God's glory (see Romans 3:23). As a result, God's mercy, willingness to forgive, and desire to restore are the only means by which the children of God are able to do ANYTHING for Him.
