"Whatever He Does, He Prospers"
Part 1

"How blessed is the man who does not walk in the
counsel of the wicked, nor stand in the path of sinners,
nor sit in the seat of scoffers, but his delight is in the law
of the Lord and in His law he meditates day and night.
He shall be like a tree firmly rooted by the stream, which
bears it's fruit in it's season and it's fruit does not wither,
and whatever he does he prospersThe wicked are not so..."
Psalms 1:1-4a
Are you such a person?  Are you "blessed" as this man is?  Do you know what it means?  Have you experienced such blessing?  Do you know what it looks and feels like?

Jesus calls it the "abundant life" (see John 10:10).  The psalmist calls it the "prosperity of the soul" (see Psalm 25:12-14).  Do you have it?  Do you live it?

The first thing we see in this ""blessed" mans life is that he is in the world just like everybody else.  However, he is not LIKE everybody else.  He is what the Bible calls, an "alien" (see 1 Peter 2:9).  He is "in the world but not of the world" (see John 17:17).  He is clearly "other-worldly" in the sense that his life is literally consumed by the word of God.  "His delight is in the law of the Lord and in His law he meditates day and night."

And did you notice the final comment?  "whatever he does he prospers?"  Is such a life available to us?

We'll take a look at that tommorrow.
